My TO-20 with chains does very well as long as the snow does not get too deep. When it does, I need to switch to the Power Wagon which is more like a tractor than a truck. It is slow, geared low, heavy and doesn't stop for snow.

I'm surely showing my age... and ignorance....
Is that powerwagon about the same thing as the 3/4 ton truck used ~WWII? My Dad used to talk about the things he used to do in one of those.

The military version was 24 volt, had all sealed electrical parts and air intake and could run in water half way up the doors. This picture is the civilian version but both ran on the same chassis

My best friend in High School had a 47 civilian version. I drove that truck many times, pulled cars out of ditches in winter and one night shoved a car backwards into a concrete street light base when they kept driving through our snow piles. We had snow plowing contracts in the early 80"s. These guys kept jacking around driving through our piles and my Friend lost his temper and drove them backwards 50 feet into a pole base and buckled the car. We ended up having to buy the car to keep the judge happy. Slow as heck but lots of power. He also had 2 9n tractors which I drove frequently for snow removal and landscaping and thats where I got the tractor bug. I"m not from a farm. He used to put the Power Wagon in granny and let the clutch out and get out of the truck. He called it taking the truck for a walk. He still has it and he and the truck live in Hopkins MN.
