That makes since. Yes it has been bypassed and a push button start added to the dash. Thanks for the word of caution as I have to start my 6600 by jumping the starter at the solenoid, and yes have had a few close calls! Need to trouble shoot the wiring one day so I can start her from the key. Another question. I have been reading a lot on oil pressure. Looks like mine is not showing any on the gauge. She runs to well to not truly have any. But to be safe I will not fire her up until I can confirm this. I have traced the Oil Pressure line to the block and it seems solid. I am guessing the gauge is bad. Will the threads screw into a after market gauge? Or better off getting one that is original to her?

bralos...if i'm right, your ser# is TO 59852 which WOULD make it a 1951 TO-20. the "S" position of your gear shift is the original starter switch. to operate this you turn the key on and then push your gear lever all the way right and forward. many of these switches have been bypassed in the TO-20's, but as robert said, they were a safety feature so you could not start the tractor in gear. if yours has been bypassed, let me warn you to make it a point to never start your tractor unless you're sitting on it, foot depressing the clutch. i know several people that have had near misses and a few that weren't fortunate enuf to get "missed".
as sure as you think you are that your tractor is out of gear, sooner or later you'll be wrong and if you're standing next to it when it starts in gear...well, you can figure it out. have fun with your new TO-20 and be safe too.

Bralos, the S is for start so you cannot start the tractor in gear.
