Got a "50 TO-20. It has a two pole switch near the hood release lever under the top dash panel. What is it for? On the ignition switch (Viewed from the rear)I have 3 connections What do those hook to, from left to right?
Thank you!
Regarding the shifter, does it have a safety interlock to prevent accidental starter engagement while in operation? Thank you one and all for the assistance!
Have a good one!
Bruce

Just sold a 9N that I installed another solenoid on. Was not too happy with over riding the safety feature. Currently in progress to build a system that over rides the starter engagement while the engine is running.
Thanks for the help!

If it is the same as a TEA20 (and I think it is) there is no safety lock-out on the gear lever starting position.

Can't help you on the starter switch, although one will be the live side of the battery (usually connects to the live side starter switch); one may be lights (or provision for lights); and the last will connect to both charge indicator and coil.

Someone will be able to give you far more accurate information on the three switch positions.

I didn't like the gear lever start on my TEA20 so installed a separate solenoid.
