on the hydr. control bracket i made...i welded the mounting plate for the control, on the 5/16 cross piece, and the measurement for that is 41/4" from the center of the frontmost fender bolt to the front edge of that plate. this will give you the best hose fitting clearance from the lift arm. (hope you can understand what i'm describing)

jeff...that's kinda hard to describe, but basically i clamped my flat stock together with the original support brackets in a large vise and bent the flatstock around it while heating it with a torch. this got me "close". after that it was just kind of an "eyeball" thing with just the flatstock in the vise, using the original support for a guide. you'd kinda have to see the original support to see why i had to finish it "by eye", but hope this helped.
