I have a TO 30 thats in good running shape. Thinking about buying a small square baler (such as a NH 276) to bale my 10 acres. Is my TO 30 powerful enough to run this baler in thin stemmed grasses such as bermuda?

I,ve spent one heck of a lot of time pulling a baler with a TO-35.

Power for baling isn"t a problem. But I would think that not having a live PTO would make it more difficult.

Pulling a wagon behind the baler can be tough id the ground isn"t level. Once the wagon starts to get full you run out of weight to pull the baler + wagon with.

An over-running clutch would be absolutely necessary if the baler doesn"t have one built in.

Brian,

I haven't used my TO-30 for baling but I am sure it would have plenty power for your hay. I would recommend an over runnig coupler for the PTO if you don't already have one.
