Do the TO 20 and 30 use the same hydraulic pump? Or is the TO 30 pump like the 8n pump (single control rod) Thanks
John

The Hydraulic Pumps are the same basically and will interchange, the only real difference is the TO30 has "O" rings on the side chambers and the TO20 has gaskets. If you try to fit the TO30 Pump into a TO20 you will have to file the ends of the "ears" on the PTO gearbox which act as a support for the Pump and fit between the side chambers when assembled, this isn't difficult and doesn't require much work to do it. You will only be removing the difference between the gaskets and the "O" rings. There may be other differences on the Pump depending on the age of it (oscillators on Control Valve) but it will still fit and operate.

I'm not familiar with the 8N pump but the TO-20 pump has a different part number than the TO-30 pump. It has what is called a control fork that actuates the control valve. The control fork on the TO/TE-20 is the same as the Ford 2N and 9N and a large number of the lift shaft parts and mechanism are common to the the TO-20/-30 and 2N/9N.
Hope thsi helps you.
