I have her back together and running. New plugs, plug wires, points, condensor, distributer, water pump, front crank seal, rodded radiator, rebuilt front axel etc. Old distributer had .020 play in shaft so I swapped with a TO 20 dist. I tore them apart and the only difference I could find is the way the electrical post is made. Advance weights look the same etc. I must have acoupl of exh valves sticking as it intermitently but frequently misses and if your hand is over the exhaust it pulls your hand in, not out. Tractor has been setting and seldom run in the last 4 years. No smoke but oil pressure is not great. Waiting on some sheet metal parts
Sorry about the fuzzy picture

You mentioned the oil pressure is not too great. I"d like to mention that my TE 20 only has about 25 PSI, even after an overhaul, it was no better.
I suspect, from reading various posts here, that this is considered normal.
Perhaps John(UK) will respond.
What is your oil pressure?

Don't know, the gauge on the 35s have no numbers, just colors, however its on the left side of the scale. My TO 20 ran god but only 20 lns cold and 12 hot

I know that everyone wants to keep these tractors as original as possible, but I personally believe that function/useability comes first. So if it were mine, I"d obtain and install a gauge that has numbers.
Just my $0.02.

Dennis

The advance weights maybe the same bu the spring tension isn't. Here's the advance data on the TO-20: 400 rpm 7o 1000 rpm 21o 2000 rpm 31o .

I don't have anything on the TO-35. Perhaps someone else can supply that. At twenty thousandths play, your distributor is due for a bushing/shaft rework. The limits are usually something like 0.002"
