No and yes.... The original color for both engine and the rest of the TE 20 series is grey. But, in some cases dealers painted them to the customers specifications. One example could be yellow for industrial tractors. There are also rumors that maybe a few TE 20 series tractors have been painted different from the factory too. But that is more rumors, and not a well known fact. The transmission made of Electron on the UK built TE 20 series was primed in a yellow like color. But, from the way they assembled the tractor, no yellow (that over the years could be taken for orange maybe) should come on the engine. The engine was assembled and primed at a different location. The Continental engine was primed red, and mounted on the transmission pre-primed. Then the front axle support was pre-primed and pre-painted grey and then mounted on the engine, the front axle mounted, with radius rods and a few other things before the entire tractor without hood and fenders and a few other things went on rail up to the paint boot, and painted the well known Ferguson grey (Battleship grey). Most components on the TE 20 was dipped before machining in red primer. Some components were dip painted grey too. Hope this helped a bit.
