Been working on my tractor lately - rather then spending lots of $$$$ on it. Ive spent so much that I prolly could a either got a better tractor or had it fixed lol.

Oh well its been a fun project so far, sides the part where I have zero free time almost. Least I getta work on the ferguson @ work :D Another bad thing is that my john deere 50 needs work too after I manage to blow a rear tire. Theres a $100 almost just to put my brand new tire I had laying around on the tractor.

Another funny is I bought a '39 allis chalmers when I wasnt even looking to buy another toy/ project. Least it ran - till the crank key popped out starting it ( Got it started tho)

Looks great, only us tractor guys understand. I have my 35 apart which is my "work" tractor and I find my self painting every part before it goes back on.
I tried posting a link to another site that will show you how to post multiple photos in your thread. You can just cut and paste the code in, then drop you photo url in between the quotes.

email me and I will send you the link

I just happened to notice today that my TO-30 has a punch out area on the dash for a third gauge. Yours has the third hole ready for a gauge. What gauge goes there? My dash has an ammeter and an oil pressure gauge.

Your gauges look just mine on the 35 , neglected. The 35 has a temp gauge as well
I've got repalcement gauges comiing. I wwould have bought from this site if they had better photos. I ended up on ebay at least I can see what I have coming. They are not exactly correct but have the same overall look/feel
Heres one that is an example of what I bought. I'd buy them here along with more parts if there were actual photos, not skecthes

I have gauges on order as well. I just bought $10 cheapo generic units from a catalog (YT won't let me mention the name of the company). If I get this tractor running nice I may spring for restoration quality parts down the road. So far the engine is still stuck. At this point, buying gauges was more an act of faith than a necessity.

I also have a carb kit and tune up parts on order. If I end up needing a full engine overhaul, those parts will be sitting on the shelf for a long time.

I knocked the punch hole out so I could put a water temp guage in.

Cheap insurance against it over heating and cracking another block. (tractor came cracked) I paid $600 for one already and dont wanna have to find another or have mine fixed.

Heres the water pump. Looks awesome in person.

Should about have a show tractor at the rate im getting to this thing done. I guess thats not true lately since Ive been spending a hour a day or so on it. Hadda weld the front axle cradle up and grind it to make the pin fit correctly again. Thats a few hours of grinding and fitting. Even removed all the burrs off the cradle - It sucks getting paid to work on ur tractor. :)

Im starting to see less and less parts that need sand blasted and painted, till I get to the transmission back. Then its tinwork time (Never done it or painted before - but im learning)

Hopefully I can get the engine assembled and in the tractor this winter so I dont have 5 million parts laying around ..... .....
I have other pics of painted stuff if anyone wants to see

Heres another pic

This time something different far as redoing my battery tray. Tray is sprayed with rhino liner. See if it stops battery acid. I'm gonna paint the sides of the tray in grey to hide the bed liner and make it more original looking.

Sure looking good so far :) I went through the pains of trying to justify a new 30 horse tractor for several years. But plastic this, electronic that and parts made out of pure unobtainium made me realize just how good my TO is. If it needs fixing a couple of wrenches and a screwdriver usually will suffice. Besides, I have not seen a new tractor yet with such a happy face when one opens the barn door in the morning. Keep the pictures coming.
