TO 20 battery

I have a to 20 that has had the generator converted over to 12v. The 12v battery is still hooked up positive ground. What do i need to do to change it to negative ground?(other than switch the cables) Also is there anything about changing over to 12v that would cause the points to burn. My 12v 8n points lasted for years.

The coil wires must be reversed as well so that the negative side goes to the dist. and positive side goes to the ignition switch terminal.

Usually the problem of burning points is the Condenser, just change it, you can't do anything with it. Open the points too if you are on 12v, this gives the condenser time to charge up, open them to .025" and try it.

you will have to repolarise the generator.Is it a two or three brush.A two brush may need voltage regulator attention.CENTAUR
