Manual recommendations for new TO-30 owner.

I have inherited a TO-30, s/n TO-80336 (1952 if I'm not mistaken). I will be bringing it home on Saturday.

I would like to find the necessary manuals for this tractor, but don't want to waste time and money on substandard manuals. What do you recommend? I have seen owner's manuals in three different configurations:
1. Dark blue cover advertised as a reprint with no 3 ring binder holes
2. Lighter blue cover advertised as original with 3 ring binder holes
3. Black cover advertised as original with no 3 ring binder holes.

Are there any obvious tip-offs to an original or reprint manual? I don't mind a reprint if it's good quality, but I don't want to pay "collector" prices for a reprint.

What about a shop manual? Is the I&T manual worth having or should I keep looking for an original dealer shop manual?

Thanks for any wisdom you can share. I'll post pics of my new acquisition after I get it home.

When I got my TO-30 11 years ago I didn't have a computer to search for Ferguson stuff so I bought the 1st manual that I could get my hands on. It was an IT manual. It covers the TO-30, TO-20, and the TE-20. I also have bought the Blue Ferguson shop manual but the one that shows the most use is the IT manual.The Blue manual sits on the shelf and looks good. I also have an original TO-30 Parts manual. It is a wealth of information. Actually it is a 1952 edition of the parts manual. It covers and cross references all of the parts from the 9N-2N Ford and Ferguson through the TE-20, TEA-20, 2085,and the TO-30.I am also finding that there are lots of Ford parts that are the same as those on my MF-35.
If I was going to be using a manual in the shop, I'd get a reprint and save the original for the shelf.

Hey stranger seems we've both wound up with Fergies for different reasons. I have a TO 20 and 35 dlx. I just recieved my manuals that I ordered from here, the parts manual is really nice, the service manual is a reprint and while some of the photos haave lost a little in the reprint it looks like a pretty good manual
I've had my TO20 about 8 weeks and really like it, the 35 I just bought and suffers from a long history of neglect and weather damage and needs lots of work on thngs like gauges, manifold, sheet metal, ie:the more easily replaced parts. Enging sounds real good and has no smoke so I'm optimistic.

If you intend to work on your TO-30 I would recommend you get the factory manual or reprints of them. Forget about the IT manuals. They are designed for tractor repair shops with only the most minimal of information, in my opinion. I would recommend that you get the Ferguson Shop Manual, the Ferguson Parts Manual and the Ferguson TO-30 owners manual.
As Jeff(OH) says, look around or do google search for the best prices.

Skip the I&T manual

Get an Owners manual and a (Blue) Shop service manual. (for the TE, TO 20 and the TO-30)

If you want also get a parts manual.

There is a competitor site that sells these two manuals at half the price everyone else on the web sells them for. However, YTmag filters the posting if you type their address in. I do recommend supporting this site and the parts they sell, but when you can get the books for $13.00 and $16.00 Respectively vs. $37.00 for the shop service manual only... I gotta go else where.
