T0-20 Overload

I just had my t0-20 rebuilt at a cost of $2900, out of control I know.
My choice is to give him the thing or pay up....what would you do ? I have heard that they have problems with the block cracking true ?
This one has no cracks and rebuilt from transmission forward..... Suggestions ?

Rick: I would pay the money and keep the tractor. Where I live $2900 will buy you an 8N in good condition. To get one in excellent condition will cost you well over $3000. You now have a completely rebuilt tractor which is better than any 8N that you would get for that price, and you certainly would pay more that much or more for a newer model tractor that would not be in as good as condition as yours is now. As far as the blocks cracking on these models, I have heard that said of them, but I have a TO-20 that is 50 years old and has the original engine and so do a lot of other folks. I think the problem may be that the engines are more susceptible to cracking if you neglect the cooling system. If you don't keep the proper amount of anti-freeze in the radiator and a functioning thermostat to keep the engine at the proper temperature then you are asking for trouble. Also, make sure that the radiator has good air circulation. I put a temperature guage on my engine so I know if it is overheating.
