Has anyone had any luck mounting a temperature guage on their TO-20? Particularly the probe? Also, did this tractor come with a fan shroud? There seems to be a lot of room between the fan and the radiator. Thanks.

There are temp. ga. out there that fit with out problems as this has been discussed before . Check the archives as I can't remember the source of the gauges. I made a ga. fit by adding a copper spacer to the bulb and drilling the hole in the housing a little bigger.

I mounted one on my TE-20 this way. There is one problem though. The hole isn't deep enough for the probe. I went to my local Lowes(hardware store) got an adapter fitting and a three inch pipe extension. It took me a couple of trips to get it right but now it works great.

Just be aware that not all fan shrouds are the same, it depends on the engine fitted in the tractor as the position of the water pump with the fan mounted are not all in the same place.

Yes, and yes.

There is a bolt in the upper radiator hose engine casting. This is the port for the Temp Probe.

Issues: 1 72" long temp guages are a pain to figure out what to do with the extra line.

2: Auto temp guage sets do not have the correct threads for the probe seat to go into the engine casting.

Yes there is a metal fan shoud on this tractor. These come up on e-bay fairly often and are available at the tractor yards.

Look for the guys who are parting out a tractor and e-mail them to see if they have a shroud.
