Revving problem

Hello all,
My TEF 20 (diesel) starts and idles normally when cold. Once it starts to warm up the revs start to increase. When fully warmed up it is revving it's head off at idle. I have had the tractor for a couple of months and it has always been this way. Unfortunately no history prior to me is available.

You have an air leak on the governor, most likely it is the diaphragm in the Fuel injection Pump but it could also be a hole in a vacuum pipe. If you email me at:- fergusontractors(at)tiscali.co.uk I will send you the information you need to repair it. Don't keep running the engine or it could run away and blow itself up with over-revving, more so if it is an old or worn engine.
