I don't get it,why are all the bolts holding it on,and a gasket is there,if it isn't meant to come off?i drained oil,let it drain for 3 days,then put drain plugs back in then put kerosene in it and let it sit for a couple more days,was going to put new napa 65-205 in it but stuck my finger in laRGER DRAIN PLUG HOLE and there is a lot of gunk in there,dug some out with finger but still a lot in there,put the drain plugs back on and filled back up with kerosene,will let sit for few more days,and try again,don't understand why that plate won't come off,why put all them bolts there if it isn't meant to come off?

That "plate" is the hydraulic pump, to remove it you will also need to remove the PTO shaft from the tractor and detach the Control Fork from the Control Valve before you can drop the Pump out. Be very careful with the Control Valve or you may break it, spread the Control Fork legs to remove it, there may be a bridge piece fitted between the legs, it depends on how old the tractor is. After you compete the disassembly as John says be careful when removing the pump(plate) as it is very heavy and will sometimes come out without notice and smash your hands to the ground. Have scars to prove it.
