TEA 2085 timing

Engine number is SC67238E, My servive manual is ambiguous. Can anyone confirm that the timing is correct when the following 3 conditions co-exist:

1. Flywheel 0 degree marking is aligned with scribed line in starter hole;

2. Scribe line on cam sprocket aligns with scribe line on crankshaft sprocket;

3. No. 1 (front) piston is at TDC.

Note that my cylinder head is not installed at this time.

If you put a rod into the timing hole below the starter that will give you the correct setting, otherwise everything is ok. Just make sure that the valves on number 4 cylinder are "rocking" at this point though. I have sent you the correct way to time this engine by email..John
