recently saw a video called tractor square dancing. It was done with 8 smaller gas tractors, Farmall A's, Massy Harris 44's etc. I thought it was great!!! I was wondering if anyone out there had any information that would be helpful in putting together a "tractor square dance". Patterns, instructions, anything of help would be great!!! Please post it here or email me!!! Thanx in advance!

My In-Laws do the tractor square dancing for the Delaware, Ohio group. I am working on a video for them know.

I was just about to ask which was the guy and which was the girl... but I see they solved that controversy... I guess the guys (green) dance together and girls do the same... Jim

I just saw a square dancing show last weekend that used mint Farmall 300's, & J.D. 70's.
That group is out of Delaware County, Oh., I don't have any contact info on them. I have seen them several years in a row now. You might be able to find some info doing Google searches. After watching the tractor dancing a couple years back, I was inspired to tear into my TO brakes, whichg were lame at the time. I wanted to be able to lock-up a rear wheel and spin in place like the square dancing tractors do. I must admit, after I saw the show last week, that's what I did, jumped on my TO soon as I got home, drove around the yard locking a wheel and spinning in circles... It was dark, I had my headlights on, the wife & kids were watching, it was great fun... until I saw my yard the next morning... I may be patching sod the rest of the Summer.

Far as I can tell, the square dancing tractors just follow the same patterns as people square dancing. You just need a dance caller (or tape), a book from the library on square dancing, and ~7 friends with tractors.
