The lift arms on my TED 20 lift fine but take several days to go down. Once they are down I can move them easily by hand. But as soon as I engage the pto with the tractor running they lift to the top no matter where I have the lift control lever set. I've drained the trans and flushed the whole unit with diesel but no change. The lift control lever does move the U shaped linkage at the back of the HYd pump I can see that through the inspection port. Maybe it doesn't move the linkage enough to activate the Hyd release to allow pressure out of the lifting ram? Also with the arms in the up position if I loose it and flogg the linkage with a rubber mallet the lift contol lever jumps from all the way down to nearly all the way up. Any suggestions greatfully received.

Sounds like the control valve is stuck or detached from the Control Fork. Hitting it with a mallet will definitely not cure it. If you email me at :- fergusontractors(at)tiscali.co.uk
I will send you the information you need to free it. Just remind me again in the email what you need then I don't have to search.
