Anybody have any good suggestions on books explaining the basics of engine electronics.
i.e. explanations of purposes of individual components? I'd like to study more about voltage regulators, resistors, ballasts, points, differences in pos. neg. grounds, pro's and con's.
Thanks, Mark

In addition to taht.. a generic 'basic DC electronics' book will be helpfull,a s to how these principles relate to other applications.

It all breaks down to electron flow ( or the lack of it ).

Go to a used book store and get one of the older Motor Series of books "Auto Engines and Electrical Systems" they go through all the systems (carburetor, generator, alternator, ignition, etc)for the '40's, '50;s and '60's era autombile engines. The technology in these tractors as I said before is from the late 1940's.
