I replaced the head gasket and checked the head is not cracked or warped. What could it be. maybe the sleeves leaking. Also after the tractor idles for 10 minutes and I shut it off the radiator blow buy will shoot steam like crazy, Please help.

If you are only experiencing water and steam coming out of the radiator overflow tube when it is shutoff, then you probably don't have a head gasket problem. What is your temperature gauge reading? The thermostat setting for this engine is about 160 degrees F. If it is running a lot hotter than that when not under load, then you have a cooling system problem. Possibilites include plugged radiator, radiator fins plugged with dirt, bad thermostat, bad radiator cap, fan belt loose and not turning fan blade properly. My tractor was throwing a lot of water out the radiator overflow tube after each use. I traced it to a bad seal at my radiator cap to radiator outlet. I fixed that and now it doesn't throw out any more water after being shut off. Another issue is if you just overhauled this engine and are just now starting it, then it will run a little hot for awhile until it gets loosened up a little. If you are getting water in your oil or see white smoke coming from your exhaust, then water is getting there either by a crack or a bad head gasket. I hope that is not the case. Good luck and take some time looking at the cooling system.
