Some one give me a good source for replacement studs for the head. I did not have any problem finding the short ones but those long ones are being a pain to find. The MF place wants $8.89 each for them. Just seems a little high to me.

I got mine from ARP (Automotive Racing Products)
I called them and gave them the dimensions and threads. It took about a week to get mine cost was right around 50 dollars for the 8 long studs with flats and nuts. Also mine measure 4.744" I ordered 4.75" with long broach, I wish I would have ordered 5" due to the 7/16-14 end being threaded a little longer. Hope this helps.

John - Thanks for the reference to ARP for head bolts. Q. Did you order grade 5 or 8 headbolts?
I expect the original Ferguson headbolts were pretty soft. Maybe that's why so many of them were stripped and/or bent in my engine. Patrick(OR)

Tractor salvage yards are sometimes a good source of these kind of parts. Check the ones near you.
