My TO35 isn"t charging. I am considering switching to an alternator with a built in regulator. Would anybody happen to have a diagram for this conversion? I would prefer to go with a 3 wire instead of 1. The tractor is a diesel, and all the wiring appears original, some of it isn"t in the best of shape though. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I appreciate the advice and the picture. I took the old generator and regulator to a place that works on them to see what the problem is. If it is something simple then I may just keep it all original, it does look better that way. That is a really good picture of the conversion, if I go that route I will be using it.

Bob gave you top notch pics.

HAve you tried to troubleshoot the genny?

A handfull of jumper wires and about 15 minutes and a volt meter can go a long ways...
