TO35 Clutch Problem

Something happened yesterday thats never happened before. I'd like to know if any of you had a similar experience.
I got on Fergie, put her in neutral, and started her up. Depressed the clutch, shifted into first, and away she went, WITH THE CLUTCH STILL DEPRESSED. I worked the clutch up and down several times, but she didn't stop. So I kicked her back into neutral. Then I repeated the process again with the same results. Then I tried reverse gear, and everything worked ok. Then I tried first again, and everything was ok.
She worked fine the rest of the day.
Anybody know what happened? Should I be worried that the next time I depress the clutch she'll keep right on going?

Garry the only time I had trouble with the clutch not wanting to disengage the transmission was very low on fluid. I had been parking the tractor down-hill as it had been real hard to start and I think the seals are shot in the tranny. Started parking on level ground and the trans stays full, and the clutch works.

I had been parking the tractor down-hill as it had been real hard to start and I think the seals are shot in the tranny. Started parking on level ground and the trans stays full, and the clutch works.

I had a similar problem earlier this year. My TO35 sits quite a bit & one time I started it up, depressed the clutch, put it in 1st and away I went. The problem was the clutch was stuck engaged. We tried pulling it and a couple other brute force things-was ready to have to split the tractor. Finally it just let go on it's own and has worked fine since. If yours sits a lot you might want to tie the clutch down after you're done using it. I've been doing that and has not stuck since. Good luck.
