Alright, I couldn't hold off any longer--I ordered a set of 12v repro. from Sparex and they are VERY nice. You can get a primed or chrome ring. 12v or 6v. I even ordered 2 sets of just the chrome rings--I can get my old ones painted nice, but they still had rusty rings.
I even tested the fit of the new rings to original shells--perfect. I was impressed with the accuracy of the rings (they had the little ridge around them as originals.
A set came with bulbs, shells, rings, retainer clips (4) mounting washer and nut as well as wings. I wanted to point out that the wings were very nice-much better than the crappy cast repro. I have see at farm shows. They did include a heavy grounding wire already rivoted into ring, as well as 10-12" of hot wire with a male plug on both ends. Yes, pricey, but awlfully cool to hold something that close to the originals. Just wanted to let you fella's know they are nice.

Mark,

I talked to another fellow who had seen them and his reaction was just like yours. He couldn't have been more pleased.

I forgot to mention that these lights will go nicely with the TE/TO-20, TO-30/35, F-40 and MH 50 among others.
