A friend of mine has a TO 35. He has replaced the crank and got the tractor running. I was impressed that thing was in a million pieces. He is getting ready to paint and would like a picture of one restored. His motor was a green paint and hood was gray. What would be orginal? Where would we look to tell the year of the tractor? Also need a line on where to get hood emblems, they were also green.
Thanks Marty

Marty, If you will go to the left of your screen on this site in the Galleries section and hit Tractor Photos. When that comes up hit Ferguson Tractors and you will find several pictures of the green chassis and light gray Ferguson TO-35's. I know the 1955's where this color. You can also go to the Miscellaneous Section on the left of the screen and hit Tractor Links. Hit Ferguson tractors, then go to Ferguson Enthusiasts of North America (FENA). They will have all of the correct colors and paint codes for your year tractor. If you can find a serial number on the tractor go to the Research & Info section on the left side of your screen and hit Serial Numbers to find the year of the tractor. Hope this helps.

You will have to provide more information to be exact. There were 4 different color schemes for the TO-35:

1-Initially it was Gray sheet metal with a Green belly/castings (12/1954 to 4/1956)
2-Then a few (very rare) with Beige sheet metal with the Green Metallic Castings in the 4/56, 5/56 time frame..
3-Then they switched to the Beige sheet metal and Gray Metallic castings. (5/1956 to 12/1957)
4-Then they went to Red sheet metal and Gray Metallic castings. 1958 & 1959.....

The FENA website should help with color scheme and paint when you have a serial number...
