TO30 AXLE

I recently broke the axle (RH side) on my TO30. I know the part is no longer made. I have searched local salvage yards to no avail. The I.T. manual doesn't state a difference between the TO20 & TO30 axles however I have a larger diameter and 19 splines, the TO20 axles I've seen have 17. The only 19 spline axles I can find have a larger diameter bearing cup and won't fit my housing. Any help on what I have and where I can get a replacement would be greatly appreciated.

First I would like to thank those of you that replied. However I am a little concerned about purchasing an axle without seeing it first. I have visited 10 to 12 dealers / salvage yards (including Ferguson dealers), every one has said they had a TO30 axle or could get one. After several hundred miles and many frustrating weekends in the truck I'm considering purchasing a TO35 axle, (the one with the larger cup) splitting the collar on my current axle and swapping the bearing cup. The shafts seem to be the same, any insight?

Kenc, You might take the 19 spline axle that you found and turn the bearing diameter down to fit your bearing if everything else is the same. That would at least get you going and should be okay for most applications. I'd like to hear more on this situation from someone that has run across it before. (As you would too.) L8R----Fred

You may have some luck with Fennesey Farm and Auto in Springville Indiana 812-825-9130. They have quite a few parts and are reasonable to deal with. They also routinely ship all over the country.
