My last message didn't seem to post so this may be duplicated, sorry. My to20 worked fine when parked last fall. this spring the clutch would not release (grinds when you try to put it in gear) the pedal feels fine, so i'm assuming it's rust, but i'm not sure how to free it. Do I have to split the tractor? I thought about spraying something in through the opening above where the starter switch is located, but i'm not sure what, or if that's even the way to go about it.

Usual way to free a stuck clutch is to start in gear - you"ll have to improvise here - preferably something like 3rd gear, then drive with clutch depressed whilst applying brakes.

You may have to split the tractor but there are some methods to try first. If you can get it started in gear, you might be able to break it free by driving it, popping the clutch as you go. If that doesn't work, put a plow behind it and drop the plow in the ground while popping the clutch and that might work.
