I ordered a new cap at the MF dealer and it came in, but is not even close to the original. It is too small. They ordered it from Sparex.
My cap was brass with two indents on the edge and had a spring, a bent wire and what I can only describe as some sort of a cup with a hole in the center. It"s a little hard to describe, but maybe someone out there knows what I"m trying to describe.
Where can I get an exact replacement?
Thanks in advance.

The correct cap for the TE20 is available from Sparex as part number S58926 and it is brass, they also do another one that fits and it is made from aluminium..part number S42569. Most likely they ordered the wrong one, they put down the wrong number.

Boy, John you are fast!!
I appreciate the part number and hopefully I can see a picture before the order is let. Is there a way to access the Sparex catalogue on-line?

The cap shown is the correct one for a TE it is perfectly round not like your description. The top edge of it is milled to give grip it is quite a fine thread. This is the cap that has always been fitted, maybe the one you had on before was one someone fitted when they couldn't get an original.
