Lift arms will not raise with an implement attached. With no implement attached the arms will raise very slowly and the arms can be pushed down by hand (with tractor running and control lever up). The lift arms worked OK this fall. In late fall I installed a Meyers snowplow which uses the external port for oil supply. The lift arms were bypassed using a cement weight and there was no problem raising/lowering the plow. Problem didn't appear until the blade and weight were removed. Would this be caused by the internal valves, or cylinder, or a combination of things? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks John. The oil was leaking back through the external control valve for the plow. I added a ball valve at the external port on the tractor. Problem solved.

There is obviously a leak on the system. Have you removed everything belonging to the snow plough from the tractor now, any valves left on may be leaking across the ports. If everything is now off, look through one of the round inspection ports below the seat, have an implement on the 3 point linkage and raise the lever, look inside with a torch/flashlight and see if there is any oil coming down from above, if no oil leaking look in the bottom front right side for any oil swirling around under pressure, same goes for just inside the inspection port hole, the "swirling" will be the oil leaking under pressure. Once you know where the leak is then it can be repaired, DO NOT strip the hydraulics down without finding the leak first.
