Does anyone have a source for the oil pan cover gasket (#750 269 M1) and the big one for the whole oil pan ? Went to all 3 local parts stores and they didn't have a source. Did a Google and nothing ? Got a filter but no gasket with it.
She still doesn't want to start--not getting gas to bottom of carb. Comes threw tube.
Cleaned sediment bowl but more white stuff like skim milk seperates---I have some "friendly" neighbors---has anyone seen what sugar in gas looks like ?

Try adding a 1 to the part no. (1750 269M1.) Someone could maybe match if this other co. doesn't have. I can get these but it will take a
number of days. Chuck

Sparex supply these parts:- oil pan gasket is S42722 and the cover seal is S42721. Order through your local tractor dealer.

There doesn't seem to be a secret filter in mine. I take off the fuel supply elbow and there is nothing there but a hole ???
Wonder if I can order one someplace ?

If you don't have the "secret filter", better pull the carb and check the fuel bowl. You can pick the filter up in just about any tractor parts place. They are basically the elbow with a screen brazed in one end.

the "secret filter" elbow is also used on Fords. You can get the elbows for $3-4 at TCS or a Ford dealer.
The cover pan gasket, and oil pan gaskets can both be purchased from an AGCO (Massey) dealer, they are cheap as far as most AGCO parts go. The AGCO dealer I visit always has the cover gasket in stock.

Some guys make their own cover gasket from heavy cork, paper or rubber gasket material. Resist the tempation to use silicone gasketmaker on the cover plate - bad idea for lots of reasons.

Your white stuff does not sound like sugar, something else. If you have verified your needle valve/float is indeed working as it should, and the problem is this sludge stuff, you may have to bite the bullet, drain the tank, pull it off and clean it out. Are you using gas additives? Many additives are basically worthless and can just cause other problems.

Thanks everyone. Raining here.

The closest tractor place is about 62 miles away.
Got a carb. rebuild kit. Took the small engine class in Rhinelander. My generator still leaks gas and doesn't run !

Have you checked the "secret filter" in the carb fuel inlet elbow as the previous writer suggests? If that doesn't do it, sometime sediment builds up in the fuel bowl and won't let the float drop. If , after cleaning the "secret filter" you still don't have gas to the bottom of the bowl, remove the carb and check the fuel bowl. While you're at it, pull the float valve and seat and make sure that the fuel passages are clear.

no gas to bottom of carb? take the ( brass )fitting out of carb and there is another screen in there . I had to pull bunches of stuff out of it before mine ran right.
