Hi folks,
If any of you are interested in rebuilding your water pump I put a few pictures on my website which I hope will be helpful.
While you"re there have a look at my solution for a boompole. Turned out different than I anticipated.

how do i get the pulley off of the water pump on my TO-35? i ordered a new one and it"s obviously the wrong one as compared to the original. this new one has 4 teeth for the impeller whereas the original one has about a half a dozen curved fins. so im pretty much lost about which pump i actually need to get. i need help!

Coincidentally, just removed and disassembled mine this past weekend. The bearings are completely shot and the water seal is worn out. I can't get to your site right now but look forward to seeing what you did. I didn't think I would be able to find repair parts and had pretty much decided to buy a new pump since they can be had for around $45 plus shipping.

Wow I thought they werre a lot more expensive than that. That's good.
Be aware that at some point in production the water pump moved from being mounted on the head to being mounted on the block. My guess is the pumps are different so be sure you order the one that suits your engine.

Thanks. My pump is on the head. The serial number is missing on my tractor but, by researching other clues over the years, I've determined that I must have an early 50's model.

By the way, I've really enjoyed your web site. Your carry-all page inspired me to weld up a similar one for myself last winter. It seems that our tractors have shared many of the same issues. The lower grill panel is missing on my tractor; I plan to fabricate a panel like you did one of these days but will also have to find something to replace several missing grill pieces.
