I think I have a good solution for the leaking carb. problem that plagues antique tractor owners. Both the Fergusons I've owned could not be left alone without turning off the gas at the sediment bowl. Last week I forgot twice and flooded the garage floor with a puddle of gas. I found a firm in Marshall, MI that sells electric solenoids that will splice into the gas line and automatically turn off the gas to the carb when the key is turned off. I live near Marshall so I went over and picked one up a couple of days ago. I installed it today and it seems to work just as expected. I spliced mine into the rubber gas line with a couple of fittings and small hose clamps. It will work on 12 volt systems only. If anyone is interested their phone # is 269 781 9196. I paid $39. I sure am looking forward to not have to turn the gas off every time I shut off the tractor.
