Installing sure seals

I was told that sure seals for a 9N Ford would fit a TO-20. I bought a pair and tried to install them, but they don't seem to fit. It acts like it might be hitting the coller keeping them from seating in the hub. I've checked a suppler and they are giving the same part# for the 9N and TO-20. Anyone run into this problem?

Thank you John and George for your help. I also made a seal driver out of PVC pipe. It did the job hopefully this will keep my brakes dry!

Yes they do fit they are the same. are you fitting them the right way around, the lip towards the oil. I have some pictures of them fitted if you need them. Just email me at:- fergusontractors(at)tiscali.co.uk
sometimes they are quite tight to go in the housing and they need knocking in square and carefully.

Tim,
I can't say for sure if the 9N and TO20 sure seals are the same, but would not be suprised to find they were identical.

The collar should be about flush with the flange on the hub, so should not interfere with the sure seal install. Is it possible your collar is not seated all the way down onto the bearing in the hub?

Sure seals don't go in easy, they are press fit, and tight so the seal will not turn in the hub.

I installed sure seals over the Winter in my TO-20, I took some good pic's and put them on my web site. Check this out it might help.
