How does the oil filter cup, screen and filter go on? And does the big spring go on the smaller rod or the bigger one?

I"m in the process of rebuilding my TO-20, missing the filter can, screen has been jury-rigged pick-up tube bent. the aluminum tube bracket was broken and re-welded crooked so they discarded the can and wallowed out the center hole in the screen. spring is missing, looking for all these components, tried montesequip but no luck andy suggestions?

You don't tell us what your tractor or engine is, there are different combinations of these with different filters too, so we do need to know to give you some kind of answer.

On my TO-20 it is as follows.

1. Put the spring up on the center pipe.
2. Put the screen cover (looks like a tin can) up with large opening pointed down.
3. Put the screen up also with large opening pointed down.
4. Put the filter on.
5. Put a new cover gasket on.
6. Put the cover on.
7. Tighten the cap screw with new gasket in place to hold every thing up.

There are different versions of this, as you will see if you search this sight. The Ferguson dealer shop manual shows it as above. See figures 143, 145, and 152 on pages 70, 71, and 73.
