TEA 20 throttle lever 'friction ring'

My '52 has one of these things - the throttle lever slides along it - looks like it's designed to prevent it from vibrating out of position. My '54 doesn't have one (and based on old paint, looks like it never did). Was this part used on all years? Thanks.

My TO-30 has them on the throttle mechanism and the hitch control lever. Mine are shot and I need to replace them . Walt's has 'em and they're a couple of bucks a piece.

TE series tractors never had them factory fitted, but I have seen them on the TO series. If you have problems with the throttle lever creeping, you need to tighten the clamp on the long throttle rod at the back of the air filter, maybe even change the spring on this clamp as it may be rusted away now, slacken off the clamp and push it towards the back of the dash panel, at the same time pushing the long throttle rod through the dash towards the engine, then tighten it up. If it still creeps you need to take the long throttle rod out and replace the friction pad on the drivers side of the dash panel. When you have done this you will need to reset the Governor linkage at the front of the engine.If you need the information on how to do this email me at:-

Chuck,

I've seen a few of those. I don't believe that they are "Factory Original", although they look like a nice add-on to keep the throttle lever from creeping. I would like to here some others elaborate on this subject.
