The PTO clutch most likely needs resetting through the plate under the clutch housing. Have you checked the pedal clearance under the footrest first, it should be 3/8". If this setting is correct then you will have to go underneath and reset it through the panel. I have the Service Info if you need it for that series of clutches. Email me at:-
fergusontractors(at)tiscali.co.uk
and ask me for the Service Manual for the 35 clutches.

Woody,

If you ever get your problem fixed, let me know. I have a MF-35 with the same problem. It's a major undertaking to readajust a used Dual Clutch. You will need some special tools and a Ferguson shop manual. And then I doubt if it will cure the problem entirely. I would suggest to idle the engine, depress the clutch for a few seconds and then firmly engage the lever.

If you are engaging the clutch pedal all the way to the foot plate and still getting the grinding then your clutch is out of adjustment. Adjustment procedures are covered in the shop manuals.

I have never done a clutch adj. thus, this is all I can offer.
