TE20 Hydraulic pipe outlet question

How do i operate the Hydraulic pipe outlet on my tef 20 correctly? Do i have to raise the linkage to the top? will the linkage drop if i had a pipe burst? - how does it work?
At the moment it doesnt seem to raise anything.
Your help would be much appreciated.

The lift arms must not come all the way up to the top or it will shut the Pump off and you will have no pressure. Use some extra strong stays for the 11 hole drawbar BUT do not attach them to the top link connection, use the one below it with the hinged pin. when you have the drawbar fitted just raise the Hydraulic Lever and you will have hydraulic pressure when the PTO is in gear. Don't leave the safety valve blowing when the loader gets to the top, move the lever forward until the loader starts to drop then bring it back slowly until the loader neither drops nor lifts, then set the lever stop to this point and you can come back to this same place each time. Depends on how old your tractor is as to where you can pipe the loader into, usually there are two on the Pump itself right at the bottom below the seat and some have two outlets just forward of the seat on the Top Cover. If they have large square heads on the blanking off screws, then do not touch the one on the left side as this is the safety valve, if they have hexagon holes in them for an Allen key then you can use either of them. Isn't it recommended the lift arms be fastened down with the stay straps if the outlet is used for external hydraulics? I am no expert.

When you"re running a trailer hitch, lower arms are held down, thereby allowing pressure to continue to pipe ie. for raising trailer tipper. If you let arms raise to top, pressure to pipe will be cut off. Yes, if a pipe burst, lower arms would drop - it"s the same hydraulic circuit.
