I inherited an old Ferguson tractor with Z120A600 on the side of the engine, and TO31788 behind the steering wheel. It also says Harry Ferguson, Inc Detroit, Mich behind the wheel.

My husband had the engine rebuilt (for $1950) back in 1995, but it has not been used much since then - just for a half acre garden for a couple of years. It has been sitting in the yard with four attachments that go with it. It now needs a starter anda tire, but ran great last time it was used.

I would like to sell it so someone who appreciates the value of these old gems can get some use out of it.

I'd like to know what model it is, and how much it might be worth, since it was rebuilt and has the attachments to go with it.

Can anyone help out?

I"m in southeast Georgia, about an hour west of Savannah. I posted a photo of the tractor and of the 4 attachments here: http://firebuilder.com/tractor/

Maybe someone could tell me what those attachments are. I know one is a bottom plow.

I also posted a copy of the receipt for the engine work that was done.

Tell us the general area where you are located. (You don't need to give exact address at this point.) Perhaps someone can help you get it started. Then you could get a good feel for the value with help of this forum. Also, give us a list of the attachments and their condition. Some attachments are pretty common, but others rare and sometimes pricey, so let us know. If the attachments have plates with the serial number sometimes that increases value, and it also will help us identify the item.

Firebuilder,

Your tractor is a 1950 TO-20. Value would vary by condition and location. In my neck of the woods (Madison, WI area) a nice running TO-20 with good sheet metal would go for around $2500. If it's been sitting out for a while, you may have other issues you're not aware of (other than the starter and tire). Only people that really know Fergusons are going to be interested in it if it isn't running. That will be a tough selling point for you. Without being able to start and drive it (check the oil pressure, status of the 3-point hitch, etc.) you'll get no where near it's value if the motor is truly solid.

Hard to value attachments without knowing what you've got. Don't give them away, though.

WMT

I've had the starter rebuilt. Will try to start this weekend...
