KN filter upgrade specs

Hey guys,
I've been looking over the threads where you get rid of the annoying oil bath air cleaner and put a cone filter on the air hose. But i was mostly wondering which filter exactly you used. I dont really want to spend alot of money on an old clanking tractor but i would like to get rid of that canister so i can shoot starting fluid in when need be and so it will breathe better.

So let me know exactly what part #'s or whatever brand and size of filter you stuck on the air tube.

I got mine from AJUSA.com to. Their site was the easiest to use. I got an RU-0210. It measures 3"dia and 5" tall. It's the biggest I could find. I used a conduit clamp to mount it to the battery shelf. It clamps around the air tube and has a bolt sticking out of it, that I screwed to the battery shelf. There was plenty of room for a larger filter if K&N were to make one. I got the cover to. It looks nice with the cover; but a women's stocking would probally work as well.

You don"t say which model you have, but for my TE 20, I ordered the filter, part number KNF RC -2310, and the pre-filter - part number KNF 22-8028PK, from AJUSA.com. The filter was recommended by K & N Engineering to fit my tractor, based on max. CFM of the Z120 engine.
Prices were approx. $28 USD and $13 USD, respectively, plus shipping.
If you have a different model, you may contact [email protected] and give him max. rpm and cubic inch size of your engine. He uses a formula to calculate the cfm and select a filter that will work.
