Hey Gang-
OK, a tool question for you English chaps. There was a Ferguson Spanner clone (4161C) made by a company in England with the Stafford Knot logo and the initials VBW in each loop. I need info on the actual manufacturer name; when they were made; and if they made FORD tools also. Here is what I have but not sure which is correct. VORN BROTHERS WOLVERHAMPTON and VAUGHAN BROTHERS WILLENHALL. Any information greatly appreciated.

A wrench, more typically an open end wrench... Just a term from the other side of the pond... J2

Can"t help you directly but the Ferguson Plough Spanner made by Harry Ferguson Limited, Banner Lane, Coventry England is discussed on the Holland-Brand web site diary dated 9-16-2005. Picture of real spanner and a copy made of cast iron. Pictures too!. Good luck!

And you can buy a brand new original "Ferguson Spanner" from any local MF dealer, part number 827 436 M1.

But, that does not answer your question, just thought I should mention it, and the price I will assume will be around 25-30 US dollars.

Bill, are you sure that is a correct part number? My MF dealer says there are none with that number.

That number shows in my 1959 FE35 M-F Coventry parts book.

Another thumbs-down for massey.

Could be a valid excuse, though, because I've noticed that UK and US parts numbers sometimes differ.

Yes, 827 436 M1 is what it says on the package where the Wrench were in.

I will put it out on my website so you can see it. The wrench too... :-)
