TO20 Clutch Shaft

Well, I managed to get to resurfaced flywheel and rebuilt clutch reattached to the back of the engine. I figured that I'd better replace the front seal in the Sherman while I had it split, so I set about trying to remove the fork and shaft for the clutch. It was rusted way worse than the clutch assembly itself - and it was bad. I got it apart without breaking anything and the fork cleaned up pretty good, but the shaft is long in the tooth. It is badly pitted, which wouldn,t be an issue except the bushing areas are badly pitted, too. It is also worn pretty good in the bushing locations as well. I'd like to replace it while I've got it split. Anybody got a M-F part number for this piece? My parts manual hasn't showed up yet. A source for a replacement would be nice, too. My local dealer doesn't seem to keen on looking stuff up for the older stuff. THanks for any help!

We used to get those shafts rusted up years ago and we always had problems getting them out, on the later tractors (35's) they are in two halves which makes it easier. The bushes are MF part 184592M1 or Sparex part S40740, the shaft isn't listed by Sparex and I only have the original number for the shaft 1303 but there will be an MF number.You could also try the tractor breakers as not many will want that shaft so you stand a good chance there.
