I just got a Meyers snowplow (hydr raise, gravity lower) for my TO-30. Oil is from external pump port, raises using the control lever. Lift arms bypassed using a concrete weight. Blade raises OK but won't drop when lever is lowered with tractor running. Blade will drop when tractor is shut off. Normal operation of lift arms is OK. Anyone have any ideas?

If I understand your set up correctly, you need to have a return line from the cylinder(s) that return the oil to the reservoir. The way you are hooked up, the only way it will lower is to leak down through your conrol valve when the engine is off. I think you have to have a separate blade conrol valve that has a return to reservoir connection.

Jerry - Success! Finally got the control valve mounted - it works great. The hardest part was removing the return plug on the tractor. Don't think it had been off in 54 years. Thanks for the help. Hal
