No Spark - TO20

UGH....I own a TO20.
No Sparkplug spark... New battery, coil, starter motor switch, plugs, points & condesner.
Here is what I got so far:
1. Check all wiring. Looks good
2. Fuel delievery - working
3. Battery charged
4. Checked sparkplug wires- looks good
however, when I installed the points, which are the second new set, I noticed that the gap was like 1/4 inch and when the post turned the gap only closed to 3/16. And I did not see a spark.
If I ground it with a screw driver, spark. The set of points of replacemtn points, I took a pair of plyers and mashed the points together, and still no sparks, but then again, I had no gap either.
And ideas, comments or suggestions?!

Not sure but it doesn't sound like you are using the correct procedure to adjust the points. You don't bend the points to adjust them. Rotate the shaft until any one of the 4 lobes comes up and makes contact with points. Loosen the outside screw and then rotate the adjusting screw in the center of the points to adjust the gap then tighten the outside screw.

Point gap 0.022 inches.

Get those points sorted out. Check electric continuity to coil.
