My TO-20 has no thermostat and runs 135 deg f on a 90 deg f day, working hard!! I installed a new capillary temp gauge (6 foot) bought from quality farm & fleet($20).Oil pressure runs 22 lbs hot at mid rpm.Good luck

I put a mechanical gauge on my TEA-20 and the temp is running about 115-120. I just got this tractor so I am still getting used to it. I have been told that the thermostat should be located in the radiator hose. (If it's there) Is this the location or is the thermostat in the housing that sits on the engine block? Thanks!

Terry,
Mine runs about the same as yours. Right at 200 degrees. Mine doesn't have a thermostat either. Iv'e checked and the standard thermostat starts opening at 165 degrees and is fully open at 190 degrees, so 190 to 200 degrees sounds about right. I was sweating it for awhile, but I'm about to get used to it. It does make the gas in the tank boil, which is a little disconcerting.
hope this gives you some info you can use.
Sandy

Terry, mine didn't work either and I took the crescent wrench out of my pocket and tapped on the dash underneath and it started working and still is. It doesn't have a sending unit, just a gage with a metal line connecting it. Any 2" gage should work on it if the threads fit. L8R----Fred
