i am rewiring my 55 TO-35. what gauge wire do i use for the ignition system and lights and any others????
thanks and YES i am electrically challenged!!!

Steve, I run Fords, not Ferguson, but your question is generic. I would run #12 wire for everything but the starter and battery cables. This will handle 20 Amperes and should be more than sufficient for what you are doing. I would look for THHN wire, since it has a tougher outer coating. A little more difficult to strip, but will outlast other insulations. If you are restoring to original, I can't help you, since I don't know what was originally used. You will also need a decent wire stripper and a set of crimping pliers to put the new lugs on. Crimping pliers for insulated and non-insulated lugs are different, so make sure the lugs (terminal ends) and pliers you get are compatible. HTH
