Are you talking loader, or 3PH. If you
mean 3PH, the ASEE spec is (at least)
52 pounds per drawbar horsepower, 24 inches
to the rear of the lower hitch points. Drawbar hp is lower than PTO, but still
should be around 1500 lbs (to30 - 30 hp
- 30x52=1500 lbs). Your bale's center of
mass might be a little further out past
the 3PH pins than 24 inches.

Though the to30 is a little older than the standard (1959), I did find the spec was exceeded
by both a 1952 Ford 8N, and 1956 to35.

My to30 with a Wagner loader will lift in the vicinity of 900 - 1000 lbs - I'm guessing. I've never actually weighed a load but I'm taking an educated guess based on the stuff I've hoisted with it. A thing to consider when working with heavy loads is the inability to steer. A heavy load is VERY difficult to steer as the steering gear gets lousy as the weight increases. A heavy load once in a while is ok but it gets old real fast. I do not know if other brands of loaders have different capacities all I can speak to is my Wagner.
