On my TO30 there is a 6 volt clock style Hobbs meter that record time not revs. I found a replacement (the original was smashed and rusted out) on ebay.

I don't think they were offered as an option on the TO-30, but I could be wrong. I have never seen one, but then again I can't say I've seen every TO-30 made! The TO-35 had one and it was driven off the back side of the generator I believe. I suppose you could find one off a TO-35 (generator, gauge, and drive cable, etc)and swap it over to your TO-30. I'm not sure that the ground speed will be correct for the TO-30 because the tranny and final drive ratios are not the same. IF the generator drive pulley and the crankshaft pulley are the same betwen the -30 and the -35, then the rpm will be right as will the hour meter.
