Log onto www.montesequipment.com, then send them an e-mail message describing what your situation is, give them your complete engine SN, including the prefix, of your Continental engine. Ask them for the build date and the date the engine was shipped to H. Ferguson, Inc. These dates will give you a pretty close estimate as to when the tractor was built.

Maybe you should write a real letter and enclose a 20 dollar bill. Give them your e-mail address or enclose a SASE.

Pitt: on the left side of this page under R&I click on Tractor Registry. Go to Ferguson and you should be able to get an idea as to year of your tractor by what others who heve registered both chassis and engine serial number.
