I had a post a while back trying to Identify my carb, it was off my to-30. I have recently found the tag that was missing off it and it is a tsx 312 and not a tsx 458. Was the 312 used on the TO-30"s or did somebody replace it since I had it? Also, I had ordered a rebuild kit for it thinking it was a 458, can the same rebuild kit work for the 312?

Per the Ferguson shop Manual, the TSX 312 was used on the TE-20, the TSX 361 was used on the TO-20 and the TSX 458 was used on the TO-30. The shop manual indicates that they are all similar. My 458 has a non-replaceable main jet that is adjusted by big screw at the front of the carb, I don't know much about the other two models but I don't believe that they are very different and I would think that most of the replaceable parts are the same. I seem to remember the rebuild kit that I had would work on about ten different models of the TSX series but I don't remember what those model numbers were. I hope this is of some help to you.

UPDATE - found used 458 but need parts breakdown in reply to Jerry/MT, 11-25-2005 12:58:56
Thanks Jerry,

Right after I posted this, I called the ferguson dealer and they had an old 458 there and sold it to me but it is really dirty and missing stuff. But hopefully all the parts will be in my rebuild kit. If you have a minute, please read my new post, I was wondering if anybody had a parts list and I think you may have answered one of my questions. I couldn't find a jet after I removed the main nozzle and I thik that is because ther isin't one.
