I have a 48 ferguson TE20 im trying to find points for . Ive ordered TE20 points , they wouldnt fit. Dealer said by picture of cap, that the distributor had been changed to a TO20 Delco. I ordered points for that, wouldnt fit.My points have a insulated stand off on the points itself. With a thin copper strip between the distributor wire connection and the points. Can anyone tell me what i have.No numbers or markings what so-ever on the distributor.A part number for the points would be a blessing ! Thanks Bob

If you need a reference number for those Lucas points it is Lucas 407050

The distributor make should be at the base of the distributor. The mfg. types are Delco or Lucas. Call Ashworth Tractor Parts and Equipment in Arkansa Tel. 479-442-9825 -- They know their stuff!

Seems to me I have seen Prestolite dist. in some old Fergys. These would be aftermarket replacement dist. Ask your nice parts man to show you pictures of Prestolite and Autolite points. You may be able to find what you need. Either that or find someone who sells the Prestolite dist. and compare with yours.

I don't know what distributor you have but you'l have better luck finding the right points by looking for them by the make and model of distributor than by the tractor model number. Somebody may have put a distributor with a differnt model number from the OEM on your tractor.
